Stoopid Me!

Postby T110 » Fri Mar 25, 2011 8:18 pm

Yup, I did what I said I would never do again.
I downloaded an iTunes update even though I didn't need it.
10.2.1 now makes things very difficult when searching for artists in the iTunes store. Freezes up briefly on about every 2nd keystroke with the little dropdown saying"accessing iTunes Store"

I downloaded it just to shut it up from hassling me!

I only use it(unes) to update the Iplod with my new music, so haven't actually tried the new version yet.
But judging by the response so far, I may just wait until the next update arrives...

Same old slowpoke crap here on PC. Never been too quick and each "update" degrades performance. What's JRiver like? Tried Media Monkey but it's too quirky for me. Nice and basic does the trick. Why can't they leave it alone or at least provide a "bare bones" version for us dummies.

Just installed the latest update as it listed a whole bunch of "fixes" and I thought "give it a go, it might help!" Yeah Nah! Just as bad.
Anyone know how to uninstall iTunes without losing all our music files? It has been suggested to me that this may be the way out as I could then re install the older iTunes from the startup disc. Maybe I should export the files into "Music" in finder.

Take your computer outside, place it gently onto your concrete driveway, then beat the shit out of it with a baseball bat. I find that to be a very effective method.
