I love JTE, especially since seeing him supporting, solo, Wilco a couple of years ago at the Civc in Auckland (he was pretty bloody amazing I thought). Anyone see him at the King's Arms recently? I missed out unfortunately.

I've got the CSN boxed set on tonight. Spinning disks 1-4 sequentially on the Shindo/Living voice system. Marvelous. Tell Neil I left the country

Wifey got Ladyhawke's new album Anxiety on CD for her birthday today. Sounding pretty good at the moment through the Rotel DAC, via the Onkyo DVD players coaxial output.

I am eagerly awaiting my Valtari vinyl! Musically, what is it like?

I've tried to give it a listen on 3 or 4 occasions lately and keep getting interrupted! This is why I need a Man Cave with a reinforced steel door and a huge lock! I am liking what I've heard so far and hopefully I'll soon be able to enjoy the complete album in one sitting - preferably in a semi darkened room with a brandy or two.

I am eagerly awaiting my Valtari vinyl! Musically, what is it like? Had a chance to listen to the whole of Valtari last night (albeit via iPod) and found it to be more accessible and laid back than their last album and a return to their earlier work. There's a very good review in the NZ Herald online which I think accurately sums it up. Can't wait for the vinyl/cd pack and chill out.
