Re: What Are You Spinning Right Now (Or Last Night)Silver Jews - Natural Bridge. Not the best 'Jews album but there are a couple of gems on there.
Boards of Canada - In A Beautiful Place Out In The Country. I love listening to the title track as that's where I'd love to be living. I especially like to put it on and go to my happy country place so I can't hear my c*** neighbour screaming and swearing at his poor 2 and 4 year old kids. One of these days I'm going to jump the fence and punch him in the throat. Unison Research, Well Tempered, Analog Instruments, Benz/Goldring, A23 SUT, Trichord, Spendor

Re: What Are You Spinning Right Now (Or Last Night)Just got my 'Into The Wild' by Eddie Vedder. (Music on vinyl MOVLP166)
What a beautiful album! It folds out to a lovely bit of art with bus 142 and the mountains behind. Sound quality from this Music on Vinyl re-issue? Bloody amazing!! It absolutely smokes my CD copy from j Records. It's a bummer to think that some dudes will never get to hear what Eddie was really trying to say because of poorly engineered copies. I highly recommend it even if it was $52 Siggwan 12 Ebony Tonearm, Symphony cartridge, Lenco L75, Trichord Dino+, Leben CS-600, Siggwan Mod 1 speakers.

Re: What Are You Spinning Right Now (Or Last Night)I'm exploring my sensitive side with my James Taylor - Live double CD, haven't listened to this in ages but it''s just right for a mellow Friday afternoon.

James Taylor eh, after a few beers you’ll be lunging for your Milli Vanilli vinyl no bet. You'll be glad to know that I've moved onto the hard stuff - Abdullah Ibrahim - Blues for a Hip King from my iPod Classic through the HRT iStreamer. This is from the iStreamer manual (all one page of it): 7. (Optional) Have a glass of wine or other cocktail and sing along or play air guitar as appropriate, while marveling at how great even lowliest MP3 can sound, never mind hearing lossless files in all their glory. So alcohol makes compressed MP3 files sound better? Pity I don't drink

Damn right it does. After a half bottle of Scotch even an old Akai Pro-Lab 2 in one can sound like a Wilson Benesch/Jadis/Rockport system. And another benefit: it makes unattractive people look like supermodels Audiophilia 101: Nerdy twits sitting in sweaty lounges listening intently to their stereos with their eyes closed whilst forming a perfect equilateral triangle between seating position and loudspeakers in the pursuit of the ultimate musical truth.
