Dropped in to Real Groovy on the way home from work this morning and came back with... Ryan Bingham and the Dead Horses-Junky Star on CD. Really surprised me this one. Awesome album! Giant Sand-Blurry Blue Mountain on Vinyl. Spinning now and it's very cool! Craig.

Great stuff, Craig. Listening to Border Radio on bFM at the moment, featuring the great Garth Cartwright as co-host. You should read his books, More Miles Than Money and Princes Among Men.

I whipped into Southbound last week and picked up a couple of cracking pieces of vinyl: Horace Andy in Dub and Trance Hill and Dub Spencer - The Clashification of Dub. THe second one features an amazing cover ripped off Give Enough Rope. These guys are Swiss would you believe?
Both bought unheard which is rare for me - both very good

Still on the headphone rig for the moment but having a great time nonetheless, maybe more so considering the detail on offer from the HD650s, especially with a NuForce icon iDo on the end of the iPod.
Lots of shuffle going on but this lot is on heavy rotation:
Pearl Jam - Back Spacer The Black Angels - Passover Calexico - Carried To Dust Wild Beasts - Two Dancers Kings of Leon - Only By The Night Looptroop - The Struggle Continues Neil Young - Le Noise (so damn good!) Smashing Pumpkins - Rotten Apples Everything I've got by ZZ Top and Tony Joe White

Wednesday night with Mr. Warren Zevon. All eight CDs on the iPod running on shuffle into a NuForce Icon iDo to Sennheiser HD650. I actually have speakers, an integrated amp and a DAC on site in for review....still in the boxes because my damn speaker cables are all in the storage locker

Hi Glenn Thanks for the offer mate. It sure does and thank goodness it does! Damn fine addition to any Zevon fan's collection because there are some killer versions on there, not least of all that rendition of Back in the High Life Again, which never fails to send shivers down my spine. Do you have Enjoy Every Sandwich - the tribute album? There's a live version of My Ride's Here by Bruce Springsteen that is just amazing. Also Jordan Zevon doing Studebaker...so cool.

Had a night on the vinyl last night. After reading "Chasing The Dragon" the Marc Hunter/Dragon story last week I'm on a bit of a classic Kiwi music trip at the moment. Last night it was... Citizen Band-Just Drove Through Town Dave McCartney-Pink Flamingo Dave McCartney-The Catch Street Talk- Street Music A good night it was! Now I'm on the prowl for some "Dragon" on vinyl.

As well as being "on the prowl" in general......... Hey when you told me today I thought you said Paul McCartney - that's why I was surprised. I spun The Cure's Seventeen Seconds several times last night.
