AshKSOUL TO SOLE Audio is now distributing Canary Audio products to NZ consumers for the first time. This American made range consists of valve-based monoblocks, stereo power amplifiers, preamplifiers, phono-stages and CD players. Most of the amplifier designs are based around the famous 300B valve, with amps producing power outputs of up to 80 watts, which gives music lovers the 300B’s midrange magic along with the drive and dynamism that this power brings.
First to land in NZ are the M-500 50 watt monoblock power amps, priced at $25,000. These have apparently been directly compared to Kondo amplifiers, which is high praise indeed if you know your valve amps. They match up with the $12,500 two-box CA-906 preamplifer.
All Canary products are hand built to order, so there is a waiting time of a few weeks once ordered but demonstration models upgraded with Black Treasures and NOS valves are now available in NZ. We’re hoping to get to hear them soon, although we’re not sure that we’re ready for another life changing valve amplifier experience.
